Colombian Coffee Shop
Aaahh, the rich taste of Colombia in your coffee cup. To me there’s nothing better. There are some other very nice alternatives such as hazelnut that I enjoy for the sake of variation, but Colombian coffee is truly my favorite flavor of coffee if I could choose only one. If you haven’t tried it yet, stop wasting your life away and do it NOW! If you’re unsure where to get it, try my personal favorite one from Gevalia.
Colombian coffee has an exquisite flavor and style that can’t be compared to any other coffee out there. I’m not alone with this opinion. Colombia is one of the biggest coffee exporters in the world, accounting for a mighty 12% of it all worldwide! 11 million bags per annum are sent from Colombia to America alone, which is literally billions of coffee cups! Only Brazil is bigger (but unfortunately not nearly as great if you ask me).
Producing Colombian coffee ain’t easy let me tell you! Getting that fine taste requires immense skill and time. It is derived from the Coffea Arabica tree which takes four to five years of cultivation before producing coffee berries. It is essential that the picking of these green beans are handled properly to ensure their lovely taste. It is essential that the coffee beans are handled in the proper way to ensure they maintain their perfect flavor. These trees produce beans for around one pound of coffee per year. ThatÂ’s a heck of a lot of beans to make just one cup!
Gevalia’s Colombian coffee shop

With a coffee flavor as popular as the Colombian one is, there are obviously plenty of places to get your Colombian coffee from. I personally recommend Gevalia. Not only is their Colombian coffee of the premium kind, they also have a huge shop with over 40 other coffees and teas to explore. I can’t say I’ve tried every single flavor they have (not yet), but I have tasted most of them and they have all been top of the line gourmet coffee.
If you want to give Gevalia’s coffee a try, check out their great offer by clicking on the Colombian coffee image on the right! Not only will you get a highly recommendable drip coffee maker and your choice of two coffee boxes, you also get a coffee mug and a carafe, for almost nothing! All top quality stainless steel stuff, and it’s only $22.95 plus $5.95 shipping. According to them it’s a $168 value and although I can’t confirm that exactly, it’s definitely huge bang for the buck, no doubt. I can’t recommend this offer enough since it gives you everything you need to enjoy high quality gourmet coffee at a terribly reasonable price.
Gevalia’s intention with the offer is the assumption that you will keep ordering their coffee in a schedule from them after you’ve received the kit. BUT, there is no obligation with this offer. If after having ordered the bundle and find yourself being one of those strange people who don’t care for Gevalia’s coffee (they do exist!), you simply cancel the service and that’s it! Since it is pretty common among some shady “companies” to scam people by luring them into giving their credit card numbers with offers like this that they then can’t (or at least have a very hard time to) get out of, it’s understandable that many are skeptical to this offer. But don’t be afraid, Gevalia is a reputable company with lots of satisfied customers. The idea of this offer being a scam can be seen being dismissed by plenty of people at Yahoo! Answers.
Besides Gevalia’s Colombian coffee carafe, there are some other brands I could highly recommend, in case Gevalia’s offer isn’t your cup of coffee (haha). Check out the other fine products below.
Timothy’s World Coffee, Colombian La Vereda, K-Cups for Keurig Brewers, 24-Count Boxes (Pack of 2)

Choosing Gevalia’s Colombian coffee is a no-brainer to me. However, if you happen to have one of them single-cup K-cup coffee makers, this is the alternative for you! You can subscribe to this coffee from Amazon in a similar service that Gevalia offers.
As far as K-cups go, this is premium coffee. But there is a difference in taste between K-cups and regular ground or whole bean coffee. Reviewing flavors is hard as it’s obviously a very subjective topic. All I can tell you is what my own taste buds prefer. I know many people disagree with me on this, so it’s something you simply have to try on your own.
It is described as “intensely fragrant with exotic floral notes and distinctive fruity and citric overtones”. This description makes me chuckle since I find it exaggerated and hard to agree with. That certainly doesn’t mean it’s a bad coffee by any means, but please take descriptions like this with a grain of salt.
If you do have a K-cup brewer you definitely cannot go wrong with trying this Colombian coffee out. But do yourself a favor and compare it with other Colombian coffees (such as, ahem, Gevalia!) if you get the chance.
